Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro mass production may begin in September, hinting October launch
In October 2023, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro smartphones to the Chinese market. As anticipation grows for their global release, a new leak has emerged regarding the Xiaomi 15 series. Tipster Digital Chat Station has disclosed what appears to be the expected launch timeframe for the Xiaomi 15 lineup, adding an element of excitement and curiosity to the brand’s future releases.
According to the leaker, the internal testing of what seems to be the Xiaomi 15 series equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has started. The leak suggests that the Xiaomi 15 will have a flat display, whereas the 15 Pro will sport a curved-edge screen.
The dual flagship phones may enter the mass production phase in September, hinting at an October launch date. The leaker said that the core configuration of both phones will address shortcomings and strengthen the main features of the Xiaomi 14 series.
The leaker further said that the launch timeline of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is earlier than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. To recall, the SD8G3 chip was announced on Oct. 24, while the Xiaomi 14 lineup went official on Oct. 26. With the SD8G4 expected to launch earlier, the 15 series lineup may likely launch earlier than the 14 series.
