The Realme UI 5.0 early access version will allow the Indian users of the mentioned smartphones to experience the latest features of the new custom skin, however as this is still the beta update, it will carry both known and unknown issues. Realme advices not to install the update on a primary phone.
About the changelogs, the update will include added Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamped system notification sounds, and will improve system animations to make them smoother. An improved photo and video-related permission management system is also part of the update, along with an added File Dock feature which allows users to drag and drop files.
Regarding the known issues, while using the floating windows, the slide desktop function may not work. Users can pull down the status bar and fix it. The Glance lock screen is also absent, but it will be brought back with future updates.
Interested users can apply for the early access version update via the software update application channel, after enabling Developer Mode, and the registrations are currently live. The applications however will only be accepted in batches and there are only limited seats available.
Make sure that the device has at least 60% battery charge left, as well as 15GB of storage space. Users must also note that the device is not rooted and all the personal data has been backed up. Certain apps are still not compatible with Android 14 and this might lead to certain compatibility issues.
To submit feedback regarding any encountered bugs or other issues, users can inform Realme via the logkit on the device.
