Qualcomm’s Next Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 Chipset Revealed to be in Works
Qualcomm, the American semiconductor company, has already unveiled two processors in its Snapdragon 4-series, and the next one is revealed to be in the works.
A new update from a tipster on the Twitter/X platform has pointed to some of its details such as the model number, motherboard codename, and some testing information.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 in the Works?
This update is from the tipster @rquandt and is considered to be the very first update concerning the next Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 chipset. As per what has been shared, the processor is suggested to have the model number – “SM4635” and the codename – “Kalpeni”. The tipster has also pointed out that the processor is currently being tested on a device with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Nothing else has been shared and nothing more is known as of now. But based on some assumptions, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 will probably only be unveiled in the coming summer.
Speaking of the previous Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processors, they were unveiled on the 6th of October 2022 and 26th of June 2023 respectively. The two are value-tier chipsets that are 5G-ready and which came particularly on mid-range smartphone and tablet devices.
Regarding their architecture, the chipsets consist of 8 cores comprising of two Cortex A78 and six Cortex A55 cores [Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 – 2.0GHz Cortex A78 x 2 + 1.8GHz Cortex A55 x 6; Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 – 2.2GHz Cortex A78 x 2 + 2.0GHz Cortex A55 x 6] with Adreno 619 and Adreno 613 GPU’s respectively. Also to add, when the first generation Snapdragon 4 processor was made by TSMC using 6nm process technology, the second generation chipset was made by Samsung with the 4nm process technology.
