Pixel Fold 2: Key details revealed
Google Pixel Fold was powered by the company’s in-house Tensor G2 chipset but Google’s upcoming foldable is revealed to not be arriving with the same chipset. According to the report, Pixel Fold 2 is powered with a chipset codenamed “zumapro” based on the EVT unit which is suspected to be a Tensor G4 chipset as Tensor G3 arrives with the codename “zuma”. Also, it is said that due to the shift in the chipset, Pixel Fold 2 could arrive a little later than it’s predecessor. This means that instead of launching in May, the upcoming foldable device could debut alongside Pixel 9 series which is expected to arrive in October this year.
About the Tensor G4 chipset, not much has been revealed yet but it is expected that it might arrive with modest improvements over the Tensor G3 chipset that made its debut last year. Apart from the new chipset, Pixel Fold 2 is also revealed to feature 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
