The rest of the story continues
As soon as I sat down to play my beloved Battlefield 1, I encountered an issue when attempting to play multiplayer mode. My instinct prompted me to check if the internet connectivity was the culprit. Upon navigating to the settings and running a network test, everything appeared to be in order.
However, upon checking the PlayStation Network Status, I encountered an error indicating that “Some services are experiencing issues.” According to the official information, platforms affected include PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, and Web, with the issue first reported at 10:21 PM IST.
Users may experience difficulties such as being unable to sign in or create a PlayStation account, launch games or apps that rely on network connectivity, or encounter challenges when attempting to purchase new games.
The status page further informs that the Sony team is actively working on resolving the issue and will do so as promptly as possible. Nevertheless, there is no specific timeframe provided for when the issue will be resolved.
I even checked the Downdetector website, and it appears to be a global issue.
There is no information from Playstation about this issue on its social media platform. But Ubisoft Support has posted a message on X that “We’re aware of the issues affecting connectivity for multiple games on PlayStation consoles and are working towards resolving this ASAP.”
