Realme GT 2 – Realme UI 5.0 Public Beta Recruitment
As suggested, this Realme UI 5.0 public beta update is still in the beta phase and carries both known and unknown issues, and it is best advised to be downloaded by users who have previous experience working with such updates.
There are also a few other things that the users must keep in mind before installing the update. The update in no manner will change or delete personal data, but it is better to backup the device to avoid any loss of data. Compatibility issues may also occur as not every app is compatible with Android 14, and banking and financial apps must be given extra attention. The device should not be rooted, and must have at the least 15GB of storage space and 60% battery charge.
The changelogs include added Fluid Cloud, added Smart Cutout, improved Shelf with more widget recommendations, improvements for photo and video-related permission management system, improvements for system stability, launch speed of apps, and smoothness of animations, upgraded Aquamorphic design, added Aquamorphic-themed ringtones, revamped system notification sounds, and added carbon-tracking AOD.
Known issues such as sliding desktop problem while using floating windows and Glance lock screen absence should be kept in mind. The sliding desktop problem can be fixed by swiping down the status bar, whereas the Glance lock screen will only be introduced later with future updates.
For those who wish to apply for the Realme UI 5.0 public beta update, they can submit their applications via the software update application channel. Feedback regarding any bugs or other issues can be submitted via the system toolbox/logkit. The roll-back zip package has also been listed on the Realme server for those who want to go back to the previous stable version.
