Samsung Galaxy A55 5G smartphone goes live for sale in China at a starting price of 2999 Yuan

The latest Samsung Galaxy A55 5G smartphone, which has been in discussion ever since it was announced, has now been officially launched In China for 2999 Yuan. The Samsung Galaxy A55 has been available for purchase in certain markets. However, it is going live for sale officially in China, starting today, 28 March 2024.

The device is available in colour options of Porcelain Blue, Deep Space Blue, Ice Fire Puprle, and Lemon.

Features and Specifications:

The phone features a 6.6-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ screen. It offers a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and up to 1000 nits of brightness.

The phone processes on an Exynos 1480 chipset. It functions on One UI 6.1 software, which is based on Android 14.

It is available in RAM and storage variants of 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.

In terms of the camera features, the phone features an OIS-assisted 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP Ultra-Wide camera and a 5 MP macro camera on the rear setup. On the front, the phone boasts a 32 MP camera.

The phone is IP67 rated. A 5000 mAh battery powers the device, which is supported by 25W fast charging options.

It includes dual speakers.

Some connectivity features of the device include features such as 5G, eSIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB-C. It weighs about 213 grams and is about 8.2 mm in thickness.

If we compare the specs of the global variant and the Chinese variant, there is no such difference amonst them.

The prices for which the device is live for sale in China are as follows. The 8 GB + 256 GB variant is priced at 2,999 Yuan ($415) and the 12 GB + 256 GB is priced at 3,299 Yuan ($455).
