PUBG: Battlegrounds announced on Wednesday that the Erangel Classic map is making a comeback. The social media platform X also saw PUBG: Battlegrounds posting about the same on their official handle.

According to the announcement, the Erangel Classic map will be available for a limited period of 2 weeks. PC users can avail of the Erangel Classic map from May 14 to May 28, 2024. On the other hand, Console users can avail the map from May 23 to June 6, 2024.
With the comeback of Erangel Classic, players can once again have their hands on the iconic Classic Erangel world, while also recalling the amazing moments that they shared with their friends and fellow players.
Now, let’s have a look at the features that the Erangel Classic map’s comeback is bringing along with it.
- First of all, players can now revisit the gloomy, melancholic, foggy, and rainy weather on the battlegrounds.
- Next, the bench weapons have been reinstated on the starting island. Thus, you can once again rush to grab your favourite weapon and seize it before the supply gets over.
- The developers have even brought the old UI back. They have put the familiar sight of the vintage world map & minimap, the match start timer, and the charmingly tacky font and graphics. All of this will be in front of you when you enter Erangel Classic.
- Recoil has been reduced and the firearms feature a nostalgic touch. You can experience an almost exact replica of the old recoil.
- The Tommy Gun will once again be available in the Care Package, like how it used to be earlier.
- You will require more time to knock down enemies.
- Some clothes and helmets will be available lying down on the ground.
