This upcoming gaming handheld console will be called ROG Ally X. The specs or features of the upcoming device are not disclosed officially. But as per a report by @TheVerge, it is revealed that ROG Ally X will be featuring an AMD Z1 Extreme chipset and a 7-inch 48-120Hz VRR display. The same features were also seen in ASUS ROG Ally.
The upcoming handheld is also said to arrive with a substantial battery life improvement. ASUS SVP Shawn Yen stated “We’re not looking at 30 to 40 percent more capacity. We’re looking at way more than that.” This means that ASUS fans will now get to see a gaming handheld that offers an amazing battery life.
Due to the larger battery life, the console is said to arrive with revised grips and slight tuning to D-Pad, Joysticks, and triggers. It will have a rearranged motherboard layout, more RAM, and a longer M.2 2280 SSD slot than the ROG Ally gaming handheld. Other than this the device is also said to be priced higher than the original.
