OnePlus Ace 3 Pro may pack 6,100mAh battery with 100W charging
There has been a notable shift in the trends regarding battery size and charging speeds on flagship phones in China. Before 2024, some brands offered charging capabilities of up to 240W, 210W, and 150W, while simultaneously reducing the battery size to around 4,500mAh on their flagship models. However, recent developments indicate a change in direction, with brands increasing battery sizes to 5,500mAh while reducing fast charging speeds to 100W or 120W. A new leak courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station that has emerged today suggests that an upcoming OnePlus phone will pack an even larger battery while offering 100W charging.
According to the leaker, an upcoming OnePlus smartphone will have a 2,970 + 2,790mAh dual-cell battery offering a total rated value of 5,940mAh. This suggests that the typical value of the battery could be around 6,100mAh. Unfortunately, the tipster did not mention the name of the device.
In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro “may be” equipped with a 5,800mAh battery with 100W charging. While he mentioned the battery size, he appeared unsure about the capacity. However, it appears today’s leak is related to the Ace 3 Pro and not the OP13.
Other reports have revealed that the Ace 3 Pro will have a 6.78-inch 8T BOE LTPO curved-edge panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered phone is expected to ship with 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel main camera, a metal middle frame, and a glass back with a new design.
