OnePlus 13 to be one of the first phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, key details emerge
Several reports have claimed that OnePlus will be one of the first phones to launch a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered smartphone later this year. In all likelihood, the OnePlus 13 may go official soon after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered Xiaomi 14 series in October. So far, the rumour mill has leaked a few details about the OP13. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared some more details about the smartphone.
According to DCS, the upcoming OnePlus 13 will focus on performance, quality, and a large battery. The new model will feature advanced silicon anode technology for a significant boost in battery capacity. Unfortunately, he did not reveal the battery size of the OP13. The screen will be a 2K LTPO display with slight curvature, maintaining a large standard size. A previous leak claimed that it will have a 6.8-inch OLED panel.
In its revised camera design, the OnePlus 13 will have an upgraded triple-camera system with a periscope lens. He reiterated that the OP13 will be among the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. Furthermore, the OP13 will integrate a new single-point ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The OP13 is not the only OnePlus flagship phone planned for this year for the Chinese market. It is speculated that the brand may unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered OnePlus Ace 3 Pro in the third quarter of this year. It will rival the likes of upcoming phones, such as the Realme GT 6, Redmi K70 Ultra, and iOOO Neo 9s.
