Microsoft Announced to End Support For Windows 10 In October 2025
Well, many of the Microsoft users are still using Windows 10 on their PC and the above headline might be alarming for you if you are one of them. Well, this is true, Microsoft has today officially announced that after October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows 10.
The company has advised Windows 10 users to move to Windows 11. In the FAQs, the company mentioned that the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program will be there for Windows 10 users, they can pay a subscription fee to get the extended security update after the support for Windows 10 ends. This ESU program will provide critical security updates but will not provide other types of updates or technical support.
Final pricing and enrollment conditions are said to be made available closer to the October 2025 date for the end of support. However, users should keep in mind that this is not a long-term solution but rather a temporary one and hence it is recommendable to shift to Windows 11 to enjoy timely security and feature updates along with technical support.
