Motorola Edge 50 spotted on TDRA, FCC, and EEC Certifications: Battery Specs and More Details Unveiled
Motorola has unveiled the Edge 50 Series smartphones in India and the global markets. The series currently includes the Edge 50 Ultra, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 50 Fusion. However, the vanilla variant of the series, called the Edge 50, was missing from the lineup. It now appears that Motorola is gearing up for its launch, as we have spotted the vanilla variant of the Edge 50 Series on TDRA, FCC, and EEC certifications. I will discuss more details about it below.
Motorola Edge 50
Firstly, let me talk about its sighting on the UAE’s TDRA certification. It is listed with the model number “XT2407-1” and the moniker is Motorola Edge 50. Now that we know this model number belongs to the Edge 50, it has made my work easier as this same model number was spotted on FCC and EEC certifications.
Moving on to the FCC certification, the listing shows two model numbers: “XT2407-1” and “XT2407-2”, likely for different locations. The listing also shows the battery with the model number “QR50” and the charging adapter has been tested with models (MC-681N, MC-682N, MC-683N, MC-685N, MC-686N, and MC-689N). Although I can’t determine the exact battery size as the model number is new, I expect it to be in the 5,000 mAh range. The charging adapter model number points to a 68W wired fast charging adapter.
Further, it shows it was tested with three software versions: SW 1 – U3UW34.46, U3UW34.43, and U3UW34.38. We can expect Android OS 14 with Hello UI on top. I also noticed that it will have NFC support and will probably come with WiFi 6(802.11a/ax).
Lastly, it has been spotted on the EEC certification with the model number “XT2407-1”, hinting at its European launch as well.
Other details, such as design and launch date, are still unknown. However, as it has appeared on these certifications, we may expect a launch in July.
