A new mysterious OPPO smartphone spotted on TENAA, draws similarities with the recently leaked OPPO A3x (Indian Variant)
Oppo is already planning to launch two new smartphones in the Indian market: the OPPO K12x and the OPPO A3x. However, it looks like a new smartphone will be launching soon in its home country, China, as well. This speculation arises because a new Oppo smartphone has been spotted on the Chinese TENAA certification website. I will share more details about this in the article.
OPPO PKL110 on TENAA certification
This new smartphone is listed on TENAA with the model number “PKL110”; however, the moniker is absent from the listing. Other details revealed include that it is going to be a 5G smartphone. Although the chipset it will be powered by is not specified, the listing shows that the base frequency of the chipset is 2.4GHz with a total of 8 cores.
Moving on to the display specs, it features a 6.67″ display with a resolution of 1604×720 pixels and a colour depth of 16.7 million. The phone has dimensions of 165.71×76.02×7.68 mm and weighs about 187 grams, according to the listing. It will pack a battery with a capacity of 4970 mAh, but there is no mention of the charging capacity.
The listing shows a 5MP front camera and a 50MP main rear camera sensor. The phone will be available in China in three memory configurations: 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB of RAM, with storage options of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB. It will also support expandable memory with a microSD card, although the maximum storage expansion capacity is not mentioned.
Other features include a gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor, fingerprint recognition, and face recognition.
Now, if you look at the screen grab from the listing, it matches what we reported earlier in our exclusive story about the Indian variant of the OPPO A3x. The back shows a dual camera setup with an LED flash inside a squarish camera module, which bears a resemblance to the iPhone 12’s design.
However, the specs revealed via TENAA for this smartphone differ from those of the Indian variant of the OPPO A3x. We are likely to get the official name of this smartphone in the coming days. At this time, I don’t have a definitive launch timeline for the device that appeared on TENAA, but we can expect it to be unveiled soon in the Chinese market.
