Tecno Camon 30s Pro Officially Announced with Unreleased MediaTek Helio G100 SOC
The Tecno Camon 30 series now has a new member: the Tecno Camon 30s Pro. Just a few days ago, it made headlines when it was spotted on the Google Play Console listing. And, the listing showed the SOC codename for the MediaTek Helio G99. However, there is a slight surprise that I will discuss in this article below.
Tecno Camon 30s Pro Specs
The Tecno Camon 30s Pro comes with a 6.78″ FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz dual curved edge display with a curvature of 56.6°. It offers a resolution of 1080×2436 pixels, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, a 1.07 billion colour display, and 2160 Hz PWM dimming. Interestingly, it is powered by the Helio G100 SOC and will run Android 14 OS out of the box. This is notable as the Helio G100 appears to be an unreleased chipset, with no current information available about it. Additionally, it supports storage up to 256GB and RAM up to 16GB (8GB + 8GB).
The rear of the phone features a dual-camera setup with a Sony IMX896 50MP main sensor (1/1.56” with OIS), a 2MP depth sensor, a light sensor, and dual flash. The front camera also includes dual flash and offers a 50MP sensor with Auto Focus.
The Tecno Camon 30s Pro packs a decent battery size of 5,000 mAh with 45W fast charging and Type-C support. The company claims you can get a full charge in 45 minutes. Additionally, it supports 20W wireless fast charging, which comes with a magnetic charging phone case and a wireless charger. There are also three charging options available: Hyper, Smart, and Low Temp charge.
Additionally, the Tecno Camon 30s Pro comes with dual speakers featuring Dolby Atmos for an enhanced audio experience. For added protection, it has an IP53 rating, meaning you can still use the screen even when your hands are wet.
Connectivity-wise, it offers GNSS, WiFi, FM, Bluetooth, OTG, GPS, NFC, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 4.5G (downlink data up to 300 Mbit/s). It is available in three colour options: Interstellar Grey, Pearl Gold, and Shim Silver Green. Other features include a G-sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Infrared Remote Control, and Fingerprint Sensor.
Regarding its price and availability, there is no mention on the company’s website. Hopefully, this information will be announced soon.
