Oppo A80 5G clears Bluetooth SIG certification with the same model number (CPH2639) as the Oppo A3 Pro 5G

Oppo is set to launch the Oppo A80 5G exclusively in European markets. A recent report from 91Mobiles suggested that this smartphone might be a rebranded version of the Chinese Oppo A3 Vitality edition. However, it has now appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification, revealing new details.

The Oppo A80 5G has been listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification with the model number ‘CPH2639’. While the certification doesn’t disclose any specific details about its specifications, a key indication is that the model number ‘CPH2639’ is also linked to the recently launched Oppo A3 Pro 5G in the global markets. This suggests that the Oppo A80 5G(EU) will indeed be a rebranded version of the Oppo A3 Pro 5G Global variant. Also, the Google Play Console listing revealed revealed the same.

I wouldn’t say that the report from 91Mobiles is incorrect, as the Oppo A3 Vitality Edition (China) also shares similarities with the Oppo A3 Pro 5G Indian variant. According to the publication, the Oppo A80 will offer an 8GB+256GB memory option, priced at 249 Euros. The report also suggests that there may be additional memory options available. Additionally, the device is expected to come in three colour options: Black, Purple, and Green.
