Now that we have got to know about the update let’s also know about the recent handheld gaming console from the company, the ROG Ally X. The ROG Ally X features a 7-inch wide touch panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, and FreeSync Premium support. Its Corning Gorilla Glass DXC coating reduces the surface reflection and also makes it scratch-resistant. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and upgraded storage of up to 1TB, an improvement over its predecessor. Now it utilizes a redesigned motherboard equipped with an M.2 2280 form factor slot.
The ROG Ally X is now backed by an 80Wh battery that is double the battery capacity of the predecessor and it supports 100W charging but comes with the same 65W adapter. Its internal zero gravity thermal solution now features ultra-thin fins, that is said to increase the airflow without making any noise. The ROG Ally X comes with two USB C ports on top, one is Type C USB3.2 Gen 2 port and the other is Thunderbolt 4 compatible USB 4 Gen 2 Type-C port thus allowing you to charge it and connect it to the monitor simultaneously. One of the notable things is that the microSD card slot has also been moved.
