Airtel extends support for affected customers in regions undergoing incessant rainfall like Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram, Intra-Circle Roaming offered for Tripura
Tripura, a state in the northeastern region of India, has been experiencing massive floods since the beginning of this week. The sudden floods have caused the death of about 24 people. About 1.3 lakh people have been displaced from their homes.
Along with Tripura, other Indian states like Manipur, Meghalaya, and Mizoram are also experiencing incessant rainfall.
Heavy and incessant rainfall can lead to telecommunication problems, and we all have been victims. In times like floods, one needs to stay connected with their peers and emergency options.
Airtel India has considered these thoughts and is extending their support to flood-affected customers in their way.
Airtel is now offering certain benefits to the affected customers in Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Mizoram. These offers and benefits are as follows:
Prepaid: For three days, customers whose validity has expired and cannot recharge can avail of 1.5 GB of free mobile data per day and unlimited calls for 4 days.
Postpaid: On the other hand, customers in these regions who have bills due, can still experience uninterrupted access to mobile service. Because Airtel is extending bill payment dates for all postpaid customers in these regions by 30 days.
ICR: In Tripura, customers can now stay connected without interruption through Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) in times of crisis. With the help of ICR in Tripura, consumers of other networks can access Airtel’s network seamlessly and stay connected.
