OnePlus 10T Receives OxygenOS 14.0.0.712 Update with September 2024 Security Patch

OnePlus has initiated the rollout of OxygenOS 14.0.0.712 for the OnePlus 10T in India, Europe, and North America. This update includes the September 2024 security patch along with several system improvements. The update is being released incrementally, with a small percentage of users receiving it initially, and a broader rollout scheduled to begin in the coming days.

The version numbers for different regions are as follows: India (CPH2413_14.0.0.712(EX01)), Europe (CPH2415_14.0.0.712(EX01)), and North America (CPH2417_14.0.0.712(EX01)).

The changelog for this update includes:

System

  • Improves the user experience of scrolling screenshots. Notifications and Live Alerts messages won’t pop up and floating windows won’t be displayed when you take a scrolling screenshot.
  • Integrates the September 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.
  • Fixes an issue where the “Uninstall updates” button may be unavailable after an app update.
  • Fixes an issue where the background of Quick Launch settings may appear black after a global theme is applied.

Security

  • Adds a “Deny only when app launches” option to the Device motion & orientation permission in “Settings” for refined control of application jumps.

It’s worth noting that earlier updates for the OnePlus 9 and 10 series reportedly caused issues with some device motherboards becoming non-functional. As of now, no such issues have been reported with this update for the OnePlus 10T. However, users are encouraged to submit feedback if they encounter any problems.

For feedback submission, Indian users can report bugs by dialing *#800# in the Google Dialer app. Users in other regions are advised to provide feedback directly in the official OnePlus community thread. OnePlus has stated that they are working on developing an improved method for submitting feedback in the Community.

As with any software update, users are advised to back up their data before installing this over-the-air (OTA) update on their OnePlus 10T devices.
