RedMagic Nova with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, 10.9″ 2.8K Display launched globally

Redmagic has announced the global launch of its Nova gaming tablet, previously released in China as the Redmagic Gaming Tablet Pro.

Features and Specifications

The Redmagic Nova is a gaming-focused tablet weighing 530g with a thickness of 7.3mm, available in Midnight colour. It features a 10.9-inch display with a 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1800), a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The tablet’s touch sampling rate is 840 Hz, and it comes with SGS-certified eye protection.

For performance, the Nova is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor, with the CPU’s big core boosted to 3.4 GHz and the GPU frequency increased to 1 GHz. It runs on REDMAGIC Space 9.5 software. The device offers two memory configurations: 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB, utilising LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The tablet’s cooling system includes a 17,173.4mm² high-speed turbine centrifugal fan running at 20,000 RPM, along with a 9-layer cooling structure. It incorporates a 29,400 mm² under-screen aerospace aluminium layer, a 9,268 mm² mainboard superconducting copper foil, and an 89,114 mm² integrated aerospace aluminium shell, achieving a thermal conductivity of 6,000 W/m·K.

For connectivity, the Nova supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth 5.4. It features a 20MP front camera and a 50MP rear camera. The audio system includes DTS-X Ultra Sound, four symmetrical speakers, dual 0815 motors for 4D vibration, and three built-in microphones. The tablet is powered by a 10,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Additional features include a USB-C port (USB 3.1 Gen2) and compatibility with REDMAGIC keyboard, mouse, pen, and gamepad accessories.

Price and Availability

The Redmagic Nova will be available internationally through redmagic.gg. The launch timeline includes an International Launch Announcement on 27 September 2024, followed by an Early Bird Offer on 7 October 2024. Early Access for Early Bird Offer purchasers begins on 15 October 2024, with the Open Sale starting on 16 October 2024, at 13:00 BST.

The tablet is priced at $499 USD / €499 EUR / £439 GBP / S$779 SGD / 11,999 MXN for the 12GB+256GB model, and $649 USD / €649 EUR / £559 GBP / S$999 SGD / 15,499 MXN for the 16GB+512GB model. It will be available in various regions including North America (Canada and the United States), Europe (covering 27 countries), Asia Pacific (Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia), the Middle East (Israel, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt), and select Latin American countries (Mexico, Peru, and Chile).
