Motorola ThinkPhone 25 Launched in UK with a Starting Price of £450, Promises 5 Years of Security Updates

Motorola has announced the ThinkPhone 25, set to be released in the UK this November with a price tag of £450. The device features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It runs on Android 14 and comes with a 6.36-inch pOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Motorola states it will provide security updates for five years, extending to August 2029.

The ThinkPhone 25 features a 6.36-inch pOLED display with Super HD resolution (2670 x 1220) and 460 ppi. It boasts a 95.30% screen-to-body ratio, adaptive refresh rates up to 120 Hz, and HDR10+ support with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The device measures 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1mm and weighs 171g. It’s constructed with an aramid rear panel, plastic frame, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i front.

Powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 processor, the device comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB uMCP storage. It runs on Android 14 and includes ThinkShield security features.

It comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with 120° FOV that doubles as a Macro Vision camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x Optical Zoom and OIS. The front camera is a 32MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. This setup supports various modes including Ultra-Res Portrait, Night Vision, and RAW capture.

A 4310 mAh battery powers the device, with Motorola claiming up to 34 hours of use. It supports 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Audio and Connectivity: The ThinkPhone 25 features dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, two microphones, and USB-C audio. It supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. The device has dual SIM capability (1 Nano SIM + eSIM).

Additionally, it includes IP68 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD 810H certification for durability, an on-screen fingerprint reader, and face unlock capability. It also comes equipped with various sensors including proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. The ThinkPhone 25 comes in Carbon Black and includes a 68W charger, USB-C cable, protective cover, and screen protector in the box.
