Samsung Galaxy A16 5G – Launching in India Mid-October 2024
So Samsung has been in the works with the Galaxy A16 5G smartphone for quite some time and the first few reliable reports regarding the upcoming device started coming from the month of August 2024 with its appearance on the Geekbench database. The listing revealed some insights into the performance specs of the smartphone, along with a few of its other key specs. Later the device had also made it to the TUV Rheinland certification platform, which revealed its charging specs.
Around the mid-half of last month, we surprised our readers with an exclusive report on the design and specifications of the Galaxy A16 5G. Well, the wait is almost coming to an end as our inside sources have tipped that the launch of Samsung’s next A-series smartphone – the Galaxy A16 5G would be taking place during the mid-half of this month, in October 2024. Initially, it was said that the smartphone could be unveiled by the end of September last month, however, the company decided to move forward with the launch of the Galaxy S24 FE device and therefore the Galaxy A16 5G India launch was extended.
Just to add, two days back, the Galaxy A16 5G was also spotted on the Malaysian SIRIM certification database, confirming its launch in Malaysia as well. Check out the revealed specifications of the smartphone below.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G – Revealed Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is revealed to have two processor variants – MediaTek Dimensity 6300 and Exynos 1330; and in the Indian market, it is said that the Dimensity 6300 variant will be launched. The device will also feature an FHD+ Infinity U-display with a screen size of 6.7″, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a brightness rate of 800 nits. A wired fast charge support of 25W, a USB type-C port, and an IP54-rated body are other revealed specs. The device will come in Light Green, Blue Black, and Gold color choices, and customers will be offered 4GB, 6GB & 8GB RAM options and 128GB & 256GB internal storage options for the smartphone in India.
