Marques Brownlee’s Panels App Receive New Update After Receiving Huge Backlash Over The Internet
Marques Brownlee is a famous tech YouTuber on whom a wide range of audiences rely as he is said to provide honest feedback about the latest trends and products. Recently Brownlee introduced his wallpaper app- Panels app on iOS and Android. This app offers a wide selection of beautiful high quality digital wallpapers designed by skilled artists.
Well, fans had huge expectations with this app hoping that the YouTuber had held his product to the same standards. Shockingly nothing as such happened and the Panels app received huge backlash over the internet. This is because the app arrived with subscriptions set at $50 per year or $12 per month. This indeed was a hefty amount and sparked controversy while an older tweet of Brownlee started surfacing online where he mentioned never charging for something already available for free.

Although the users were allowed to use the wallpapers after watching an Ad on the app that also became an issue as concerns were raised for the app’s data-tracking practice since the app store listing reveals it tracks users’ location, usage, and personal information across other apps and websites. Till now many users have expressed their frustration with the app on the X platform. Taking this feedback into consideration, Brownlee assured the users that they are working on a few fixes to resolve these issues.
