Xiaomi Pad 7 Tablet Indian Variant Spotted on the BIS Certification Website; Said to Launch Early Next Year in India

The Indian variant of Xiaomi’s latest and upcoming tablet device, the Xiaomi Pad 7, has made it to the BIS certification platform. The Indian launch of the tablet has thus been confirmed and the launch in India is expected to take place early next year.

Here’s more about it.

Xiaomi Pad 7 – BIS Certification

The Xiaomi Pad 7 tablet Indian variant has appeared on the BIS certification platform with the model number – ‘2410CRP4CI’, and has received the inclusion or grant on the BIS database on the 13th of September 2024. Nothing in particular about the upcoming tablet has been mentioned on the database, however, it is said that the Indian launch would likely take place in the first quarter of 2025 (even if the model number – ‘2410’ suggests a possible launch in October 2024).

Xiaomi Pad 7 Spotted on Indian BIS

Looking at previous updates, the Xiaomi Pad 7 was said to carry the model number – 24091RPADG, with which, it was spotted on Singapore’s IMDA and the European EEC certification platforms. However, it should also be noted that reports have pointed out that the Xiaomi tablet with model number 2410CRP4CG is the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, leading to certain confusion as the model number is similar to the now BIS-listed Xiaomi Pad 7 Indian variant.

Coming to some expected specs of the Xiaomi Pad 7 tablet, the Chinese 3C certification has revealed the device to come with a 45W charger. It may also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It is also being said to have the Xiaomi HyperOS custom skin based on the Android 14 operating system out of the box, with three years of promised Android OS upgrades and four years of security patch updates.

Just to add, Xiaomi this month, on the 23rd of October 2024, will be unveiling its 15 series flagships, which include the vanilla 15 and the 15 Pro models, and the devices are to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and run on the latest HyperOS 2.0 custom skin.
