We have so far come across many reports concerning the next flagship chipset from Qualcomm, and from the earliest report pointing out its 40% improved performance compared to its predecessor to the Geekbench and AnTuTu benchmark listings, we have been able to know a lot about the chipset. As the Snapdragon Summit 2024 nears, the specifications and internal schematic layout of the upcoming chipset have been revealed via the Weibo platform.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 – Leaked Specifications and Internal Schematic Layout
The next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is understood to come in two variants – SM8750 and SM8750P, of which only SM8750 will support mmWave 5G and sub-6 GHz bands, while the SM8750P will be a Wi-Fi-only version. The chipset will also be using self-developed custom Oryon cores, and support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage (PCle 5 2-lane). It is also revealed that the chipset will be able to achieve reading and writing speeds of 4,500MB/s and 4,000MB/s respectively.
Notably a significant improvement has been brought in terms of screen resolution and refresh rate support. From the previous 3360 x 1600 pixels resolution + 144Hz refresh rate support, the chipset will be able to support up to 3840 x 2560 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, thanks to the Adreno 830 GPU [This means devices will be able to have resolutions higher than 4K]. The Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip has also been upgraded to WCN7880/7881, and this should be the FastConnect 7900. UWB support will also thus be present.

Also to add, around the mid-half of last month in September 2025, the upcoming OnePlus 13 device (alleged) was spotted on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The single-core and multi-core scores of 3236 points and 10049 points are true indications that Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset will be a beast when it comes to performance. Apart from the OnePlus 13, the Realme GT 7 Pro, iQOO 13, and Redmi K80 series are some other devices that are said to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset onboard.
Qualcomm as mentioned will be conducting its Snapdragon Summit 2024 from the coming 21st of October to the 23rd of October 2025. At the MWC 2024 event, Qualcomm CMO Don McGuire also suggested that the company would announce its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset at the Snapdragon Summit 2024. With just a few more days, we may be seeing more updates in the coming days. Stay tuned for it.
