Qualcomm is all set to host its Snapdragon Summit 2024 from 21st October to 23rd October in Hawaii. At this particular event, the company is expected to unveil its much-awaited Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Various upcoming devices like the OnePlus 13, Xiaomi 15 series, Realme GT 7 Pro, iQOO 13, and Redmi K80 series are some other devices that are said to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset onboard. It was recently revealed that Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has been renamed as the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform.
Reportedly, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (8 Elite) will arrive with two variants- SM8750 and SM8750P. Both variants have been spotted on the Geekbench database.
The one tested on a manufacturer model received a 2884 single-core score and an 8840 multi-core score. It comes with two cores clocked at 4.09GHz and six cores clocked at 2.78GHz while the other variant was tested with OnePlus PJZ110 (alleged OnePlus 13), it received a 3216 single core score and 10051 multi-core score and comes with two cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six cores clocked at 3.53GHz.
Tipster @Cartidise has also shared various screenshots on the X platform which reveal that the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite underclocked version is already reaching 888-level thermals and 20W power draw (Underclocked Version). Hence the full version is expected to offer even better performance.
There are still a few days left in the launch of this highly anticipated chipset, let’s see if we come across any more updates related to it. Recently the specs and internal schematics of this chipset have also leaked online.
