Vivo X200 Series Officially Teased to Feature Sony LYT-818 Camera: Better Image and Video Capturing Capabilities

Vivo, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, will soon be launching its X200 series smartphones in the Chinese market and as the official launch date nears, the brand has again teased its upcoming series, revealing a new camera spec.

As per the new update, Vivo X200 series will be featuring Sony’s new LYT-818 image sensor, along with 22nm advanced process technology, lower power consumption, and a stronger algorithm. The brand points that these specs will provide the upcoming series with both better image and video capturing capabilities.

The latest X200 series devices of Vivo will debut on the 14th of October in China at 7 PM local time and very recently, the brand teased the series to have the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, and to become the first smartphones to launch with this flagship chip. OriginOS 5 custom skin has also been confirmed for the X200 series smartphones as well. Three million points AnTuTu performance score, world’s first kilometer-level network free communication, 90 fps full-scene mobile ray tracing technology, and world’s first LPDDR5X Ultra Pro memory are other officially confirmed specs.

Some of the other expected specs are Vivo’s V3+ chip, OLED display with 2160Hz PWM dimming, 50MP primary camera (now confirmed to be Sony LYT 818 image sensor), Zeiss 200MP APO periscope telephoto camera, multiple telephoto portrait focal lengths, telephoto-macro camera with refined composition, Landscape Mode, and 4K 120fps slow motion/full-focus 10bit log/4K backlit movie portrait video capabilities.

The expected price points and storage options of the X200 series devices are also now revealed, suggesting that it will start at CNY 3999 for the X200 base model and go up to CNY 6199 for the X200 Pro top-end model. Check out more about it in detail here.
