Google has now officially begun the Android 15 roll-out for its Pixel devices, coinciding with the October 2024 Pixel Drop, bringing not just the Android 15 OS, but also many other new Pixel features.

Android 15 x October 2024 Pixel Drop for Google Pixel Devices
Following the release of Android 15 to AOSP, a month later, Google has now officially started rolling out the latest Android 15 OS update to its Pixel devices, and the update will be accompanied by many features as part of the October 2024 Pixel Drop. The roll-out has already begun and some of the Pixel devices users might have received the update by now.
The update roll-out will be continuing over the next week in phases depending on the model and carrier, and the Pixel 6 series, Pixel 7 series, Pixel 8 series, Pixel Fold, and the Pixel Tablet devices are now eligible to receive the Android 15 upgrade. To add, US carrier versions will only start receiving the update from next week.
Android 15 Upgrade – Eligible Pixel Models
- Google Pixel 6 Series – Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a
- Google Pixel 7 Series – Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel 7a
- Google Pixel 8 Series – Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
- Google Pixel Fold
- Google Pixel Tablet
Regarding the latest Pixel features that will be arriving on the mentioned devices, Gemini Live (country expansion), Gemini on Pixel Buds, Gemini with Pixel Screenshots, Night Sight for Instagram, Underwater Photography and Video, Theft Protection, Private Space, Hub Mode upgrades, Audio Magic Eraser (expansion to Pixel 8+), Astrophotography (expansion to Pixel 6+), Thermometer app upgrade, Pixel Weather app device expansion & pollen data block, Next Gen Call Screen (UK and Japan), Notification Dismissal, Widget Discovery, Cast to Devices Nearby, and Adaptive Vibration are the features rolling out.
Once the update becomes available, the eligible Pixel devices users will be notified of it. Update the device as well as the applications on the device to experience the latest Android 15 operating system and Pixel features.
