Vivo’s Next S20 Smartphone Appears on the TENAA Certification Platform: Key Specs Revealed

Vivo unveiled its S19 series smartphones in the Chinese market in the month of May 2024 and it seems that the brand will soon be launching the successors. The upcoming S20 smartphone from Vivo has now appeared on China’s TENAA database, revealing many of its key specs.

Vivo S20 – TENAA Certification

As per the TENAA listing, Vivo’s S20 smartphone, bearing the model number – ‘V2429A’, is revealed to have a dimension of 160.35 x 74.18 x 7.19 mm and weighs 185.5 gm. It will be a 5G device with 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network connectivity. Bluetooth and USB connectivity will also be supported on the device.

Regarding the processor, it is mentioned to be an octa-core chipset (likely Snapdragon 7 Gen 3) with 2.63 GHz primary clock speed, and would be offered in 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM options and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage choices. The device will use the Android operating system

Its display is revealed to be an AMOLED screen with 6.67″ size, 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, and 1073.74 million color depth. On the camera side, 50MP + 8MP dual rear camera setup, and for selfies, a 50MP front-facing camera is also mentioned to be present.

About the battery, the listing suggests that a 6365 mAh rated (probably silicon) battery is going to be backed within. This could be a 6500 mAh typical battery. Other specs revealed include the gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor, infrared sensor, face recognition, and under-display (optical) fingerprint scanner.

Apart from the above mentioned specs and details, nothing much is known regarding the S20 smartphone yet. The S20 series based on certain reports are said to have its launch in the month of November or December 2024, and maybe we could be hearing more updates about the upcoming series in a few weeks.
