Honor Officially Showcases its Magic 7 Series Smartphone; Processor Confirmed; Honor Watch 5 to Launch Alongside this Month
As the official launch date for the Magic 7 series smartphones nears, Honor, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, has been revealing more and more about the smartphones and now, at the ongoing Snapdragon Summit 2024 event, the brand has showcased its Magic 7 series smartphone. The processor that will be powering the series has also been confirmed, and it has been announced that the latest Honor Watch 5 smartwatch will be launched alongside the upcoming smartphones this month.

Honor Magic 7 Series – Processor and Design
Following Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite release, smartphone brands have been officially announcing or confirming their Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones, and joining them, Honor has also confirmed that its next Magic 7 series flagships will also be arriving equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The teaser poster also points out that the devices will have many AI capabilities. The first AI autopilot for an open ecosystem, on-device generative AI for gaming, and seamless AI across multiple devices, apps, and services with the Magic ring technology are some of the revealed AI features.
Honor, as mentioned, also showcased one of its upcoming Magic 7 series smartphones, and it seems to be the vanilla Magic 7 device. Recently, the design of the smartphone in Moon Shadow Gray color was officially shared, and the smartphone that has been showcased at the Snapdragon Summit 2024 is this same device and color model. Just to add, we had already come across the real-life images of the Magic 7 Pro device as well in the past.
Another exciting announcement that came along is the China launch of the Honor Watch 5. Early last month in September 2024, at the IFA Berlin 2024 event, Honor unveiled its Watch 5 device and it is listed on the brand’s official global website. A 1.85″ AMOLED 450 x 390 pixels resolution display, 6-series aluminum alloy middle frame, single functional button(hold, press, rotate), IP68-rating, 5ATM waterproof, GPS, Bluetooth, speaker, mic, various sensors, 480 mAh battery, magnetic charging ports, Android 9+/iOS 12+ compatibility, and Black/Gold silicon & Green leather strap options are its key specs.
On the 30th of October 2024, the same day of the Magic 7 series debut in China, at the upcoming product launch conference, Honor will also be launching its Honor Watch 5 smartwatch too for its Chinese customers.
We are now just a few more days away from Honor’s Magic 7 series and Watch 5 launch date and in the coming days, the brand is sure to anticipate its fans with more teasers and spec-reveals. Prior to the Magic 7 series and Watch 5 launch, tomorrow, on the 23rd of October 2023, the brand will be unveiling its MagicOS 9.0 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system.
