Xiaomi Officially Announces its Product Launch Conference: 15 Series, HyperOS 2, Pad 7 Series, SU7 Ultra, and Watch S4 to be Released

Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, has officially announced its product launch conference scheduled for this month. The event will mark the release of the brand’s new 15 series smartphones, HyperOS 2 custom skin, Pad 7 series tablet, SU7 Ultra EV, and Watch S4 smartwatch.

Xiaomi – Product Launch Conference

Xiaomi’s product launch conference primarily for releasing its 15 series flagship smartphones, comprising the vanilla 15 and 15 Pro models, and the next HyperOS 2 custom skin will be conducted on the 29th of October 2024, at 7 PM local time in China.

The HyperOS 2 custom skin which is going to be based on the latest Android 15 operating system is the brand’s second reiteration of its HyperOS, and this time many AI features are suggested to be introduced to the brand’s entire HyperOS ecosystem.

It was only recently revealed that the Pad 7 series tablet models (Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro) will also be launched alongside the 15 series smartphones, and the pre-reservation for the tablets also went live with the 15 series devices in China. Some of the key specs of the Pad 7 series have been teased now.

The Pad 7 Pro is now confirmed to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, offering +13% cold start speed, +11% animation smoothness, and +11% multitasking fluency. The HyperOS 2 custom skin will also aid in the deep integration of hardware and software. On the storage side, an 8GB(LPDDR5X)/128GB(UFS3.1) storage variant will be available for the Pad 7 Pro model. To add, unlike what was expected, the Pad 7 tablet will be arriving equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset.

Coming to the teased display specs, the Pad 7 series will be featuring a 3.2K ultra-clear flagship display with 11.2″ screen size, 3200 x 2136 pixels resolution, 345 PPI pixel density, and 144Hz refresh rate. Thus in total, the Pad 7 series has been teased with the tagline – ‘Powerful and efficient’.

Xiaomi entered the EV industry with four of its EV models (SU7, SU7 Pro, SU7 Max, and SU7 limited Founder’s Edition) that were unveiled this year, in March 2024. The SU7 Ultra model was unveiled in July 2024 and was said to hit the market this month in October 2024. Yes, the pre-reservation is currently open for the SU7 Ultra EV and customers will soon be able to get their hands on it.

Finally, the Watch S4 smartwatch that was spotted on the SDPPI and MIIT databases will also be debuted at the upcoming product launch conference. The teaser image reveals that the device would come in five color choices with different strap materials/styles and features a removable bezel like the CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2. A single functional button can also be spotted on the right side panel.
