Alleged Redmi K80 Pro Smartphone Certified by China’s 3C Authority: Wired Charging Spec Revealed
A new update has revealed that an upcoming Redmi K80 series device has received the 3C certification from China. The wired charging feature of the smartphone has also been revealed via its listing.

Alleged Redmi K80 Pro – 3C Listing
It is the Redmi K80-series smartphone with model number – ‘24117RK2CC’ that has been spotted on the 3C certification database, and it has been listed as a 5G digital mobile phone. There is also a charging adapter with model number – ‘MDY-14-EC’ listed along with the smartphone, revealing that this upcoming Redmi K80-series smartphone would support up to 90W wired fast charging.
While initially updates pointed that the ‘24117RK2CC’ was attributed to the Redmi K80 Pro smartphone and its global variant would have a similar model number of ‘24117RK2CG’, a recent update spoke otherwise. It was being said that unlike the older Redmi K-series smartphones that were all Chinese exclusives, this time’s K80 series-devices consisting of the K80 and K80 Pro models were believed to come to global markets as well. However, lately, reports have arrived stating that there are indeed POCO F-series re-branded versions of the Redmi K80-series, and they were listed on IMEI.
Two POCO F7-series smartphones – F7 Pro(24117RK2CG) and F7 Ultra(24122RKC7G) models were spotted, and the report said that the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra are re-branded versions of the Redmi K80(24122RKC7G) and Redmi K80 Pro(24122RKC7C) devices respectively.
As per the new update, the model number – ‘24117RK2CC’ is again attributed back with the Redmi K80 Pro instead of the vanilla Redmi K80. But considering the POCO F7 smartphones’ model numbers, this is creating certain confusions. It is best to wait until more updates bring clarity to the matter.
Speaking of the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro devices, the two are expected to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite processors respectively, featuring a possible 2K resolution OLED flat display panel. Redmi K80 Pro was also previously tipped with other specs like 50MP 3x optical zoom camera, 6000 mAh battery, ‘100W’ wired fast charging, wireless charging, and ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The two Redmi K80 series smartphones are also tipped to be launched in November 2024, next month, at competitive price points when compared to its competitors.
