A few days back, tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is working on a compact phone with a small screen display. As per the tipster the device was said to sport a 6.3-inch display and backed by a 6000 mAh battery. Not only this the device was also said to exclude a telephoto lens and wireless charging support.
Now as per the latest development, the tipster has revealed that the evaluation of the Redmi small screen is completed and it is revealed that there won’t be a small screen Redmi phone coming in as the brand is said to temporarily not make the small screen device.
The reason is not disclosed yet but seems like it will still take some time for the smartphone brand to go to the compact phone route. To this information shared, users reacted in the comment section that Redmi should only concentrate on making large screens as small screens will arrive with lower configurations while one user suggested that the company should make a 7-inch straight screen.

The reservations of the Xiaomi 15 series and Xiaomi Pad 7 series have already started in the country. Redmi will also be unveiling its latest Redmi Band 3 in China on 29th October.
