OPPO’s Find X8 Series to Bring Two More Models Next Year, Including the Upcoming Ultra Smartphone
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OPPO, unveiled its flagship MediaTek 9400 processor smartphones – the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro devices a few days back in its home market. It was said an Ultra model will be joining the series next year, but now a new update is pointing to two new upcoming smartphones next year.
Here’s more about it.
OPPO Find X8 Series – Two New Models Coming Next Year
This update comes from the tipster Smart Pikachu and he has shared via a Weibo post that more than just the Ultra model will be launching next year under OPPO’s Find X8 series. Yes, he points out that two new Find X8 series models will be unveiled simultaneously next year, with multiple storage/color choices. However, the tipster has not revealed the moniker of the fourth model that is launching apart from the Ultra device.
While looking into previous OPPO Find X series lineups, at first OPPO had launched four models in its Find X2 series and Find X3 series, and when it came to the Find X5 series, only three models were unveiled. For the previous two series, that is the Find X6 and Find X7 series, the brand only introduced two models. An Ultra model first came to the series with the January 2024-released Find X7 Ultra, however, the Find X7 series didn’t bring out a Pro model.
As mentioned, reports had already spoken about the Ultra model and it was thereby understood about the brand’s plan to launch both the Ultra and the Pro models in its Find X8 series. OPPO has previously launched Lite and Neo models in its Find X series, but if you look at this year’s Vivo X200 series, there was a Pro mini model. Based on this, the tech sphere is guessing that the fourth Find X8 series smartphone may likely be a mini version, possibly for the purpose of competing with Vivo. It is best to wait until more updates clarify the matter as this is just a rumor.
Regarding the Find X8 Ultra, it is expected to arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and feature a new 2K OLED display panel. On the camera side, upgraded camera sensors consisting of a 50MP main 1-inch large sensor primary camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 50MP periscope telephot0 3x zoom camera, and 50MP periscope telephoto 6x zoom camera are expected. A 10x hybrid zoom feature may also be supported on the device as per reports.
The launch of the next Find X8 series models are said to take place in Q1 2025 and considering this, more updates about the upcoming devices are probably on their way. With the new updates, we’ll be able to confirm more. Stay tuned until then.
