Honor Magic 7 Series with Snapdragon 8 Elite Debuts in China, Hours After iQOO 13 Launch
Earlier today, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO unveiled the iQOO 13 in China, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Shortly before this launch, Xiaomi had introduced its Xiaomi 15 Series, also powered by the SD 8 Elite chipset in the Chinese market. Adding to this wave of releases, Honor has now launched its latest flagship smartphones, the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro, in China. Alongside these devices, Honor has revealed MagicOS 9.0, its custom skin based on Android 15, and announced the rollout schedule for other compatible smartphones.

Display Specs: Both models feature OLED displays with industry-leading 5000-nit HDR peak brightness and 1600-nit global brightness. The Magic 7 Pro sports a 6.8-inch screen with 1280×2800 resolution, while the Magic 7 features a 6.78-inch display at 1264×2800. Both incorporate 4320Hz PWM dimming, 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rates, and comprehensive eye protection features including TÜV Rheinland certifications. The panels support 1.07 billion colors and a DCI-P3 wide color gamut, protected by Giant Rhino Glass.
Camera Specs: The Magic 7 Pro’s camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with variable F1.4-F2.0 aperture and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with 122° field of view and 2.5cm macro capabilities, and a revolutionary 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The Magic 7 features a triple 50MP setup, with the main camera at f/1.9, the same ultra-wide specifications, and a telephoto lens supporting 50x zoom. Both devices offer comprehensive video capabilities including 4K recording at 60fps and various shooting modes including night scene video and HDR Vivid support.
Performance and Hardware: Both models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (2×4.32GHz + 6×3.53GHz) with Adreno 830 GPU. They feature advanced cooling systems and run MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. The Pro variant includes an independent secure storage chip and a HONOR C2 communication chip, while the standard model uses the C1+ chip.
Battery and Charging: The Pro model houses a 5850mAh battery (5750mAh rated), while the Magic 7 includes a 5650mAh cell (5550mAh rated). Both support 100W wired and 80W wireless charging with reverse wireless charging capabilities.
