Three New Redmi Smartphone Devices from Xiaomi Certified by China’s 3C Authority
Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, is believed to be in the works with the upcoming Redmi K80 series and POCO F7 series smartphones that are soon to hit different markets. Three of the new Redmi-branded smartphones have now received the 3C certification from China.
Here’s more about it.
Redmi 24122RKC7C, 24127RK2CC, and 24117RK2CC – 3C Certification
Three new Redmi smartphone devices bearing the model numbers – ‘24122RKC7C’, ‘24127RK2CC’, and ‘24117RK2CC‘ have been certified by the 3C certification authority. The first two smartphones have been listed with a 120W charger having the model number – ‘MDY-14-ED’, while the third device is listed with a 90W charger carrying the model number – ‘MDY-14-EC’.
Even after multiple updates that arrived in the past few weeks, there were still confusions with the monikers of the upcoming devices, and regarding which are all their respective re-branded versions. The tipster (@ZionsAnvin) who has shared the update concerning the 3C listings of the aforementioned three Redmi smartphones have tried to bring clarity to the matter.
The device with model number ‘24122RKC7C’ is pointed out to be the Redmi K80 smartphone as per the IMEI database, and the ‘24122RKC7G’ global model is the POCO F7 Ultra according to IMEI. Thus, the Redmi K80 is expected to be re-branded as the POCO F7 Ultra in the global market.
Redmi ‘24127RK2CC’ is noted to be the Redmi K80 Pro, again as per the IMEI listing, and the tipster states that this device will remain exclusive to the Chinese market without any global counterparts. He also adds that the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip may power the device.
The Redmi device with model number ‘24117RK2CC’ will possibly be re-branded as the POCO F7 Pro with model number ‘24117RK2CG’, based on the IMEI database. However, the moniker of the Chinese model is yet to be revealed.
There is also one more Redmi smartphone with model number ‘2412DRT0AC’ that is awaiting its 3C certification. According to the IMEI platform, this Chinese variant is the Redmi Turbo 4. Its believed global and India counterparts have model numbers – ‘2412DPC0AG’ and ‘2412DPC0AI’ respectively. The latter (2412DPC0AI Indian model), as per IMEI database, is branded as the vanilla POCO F7 smartphone
Since the brand’s 15 series flagship devices have been debuted, it can now be assumed that the attention would be turned to the Redmi K80 series sub-flagships. More updates can thus be expected in the coming days, which will add more to what we already know.
