OxygenOS 15 Global Release Schedule Officially Revealed by OnePlus: For European and North American Users
OnePlus, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, unveiled its latest OxygenOS 15 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system around the mid-half of last month in October 2024, following which we saw the release of the closed beta and open beta versions for OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R devices in the Indian market.
The brand so far hasn’t been approaching the OxygenOS 15 roll-out with a strategic plan or schedule, while the European and North American users haven’t been able to access the OxygenOS 15 beta versions yet. In an official note shared via the OnePlus community, the brand has revealed its OxygenOS 15 roll-out plan for the European and North American markets.
OxygenOS 15 for European and North American Users
After China and India, both the European and North American markets are significant for OnePlus and it is with this understanding that after a long delay, the brand has now revealed its OxygenOS 15 roll-out plan for the two mentioned markets. From mid-November 2024, OnePlus will be officially rolling out the OxygenOS 15 update in Europe and North America. The update will first arrive on the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R flagships, after which it will be introduced to more devices subsequently. OnePlus has also shared that it is eager to know what its European and North American users have to share about the new custom skin.
In related news, the brand has also announced an internal review of its beta roll-out process. The issues pertaining to the delayed roll-out to devices and to more regions will be addressed and proper measures will be taken thereafter to make sure that future updates reach everyone, in every locations, around the same time, even if time zones and certain regulations may arise as factors affecting it.
OxygenOS 15 – Features
The latest OxygenOS 15 brings a refreshed design with revamped icons and more color palettes, and features the industry’s first parallel processing system for better animation across the device. Added personalization options are present with OnePlus Onetake and other features. Multiple AI tools, along with Circle to Search and Intelligent Search features, are also offered. Easy access to the notification drawer and quick settings have been introduced on Split Screen mode. Improved privacy and security features are also part of the latest custom skin.
