Huawei Mate 70 Series and Upcoming Ultra Model Smartphones Tipped to Arrive with Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner
Many of the leading smartphone makers have already unveiled their flagship devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chips last month, and this month too we are going witness few of the sub-flagship and flagship launches. A new update from a well-known tipster on the Weibo platform has revealed that the next Huawei Mate 70 series smartphones, along with upcoming Ultra model flagships, may be featuring ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
Here’s more about it.
Huawei Mate 70 Series and Upcoming Ultra Model Flagships – Tipped to Feature Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner
This update comes from the Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu who has pointed out in his Weibo post that the upcoming Ultra model flagships that are expected to debut next year are probably going to use Qualcomm-branded ultrasonic fingerprint solutions. He has also added that Huawei will also be bringing new ultrasonic fingerprint solution next year, and the hashtag ‘#Huaweimate70’ suggests it to be regarding the Mate 70 series.
Speaking more, few of the upcoming Ultra models that are expected to arrive next year in 2025 include the OPPO Find X8 Ultra, Vivo X200 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. These mentioned devices are likely to feature an under display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. There are also the Nubia Z70 Ultra, Red Magic 10 Ultra/Red Magic 10 Pro Ultra, and POCO F7 Ultra models too coming, but the Nubia Z70 Ultra launch is scheduled for this month(November 2024) and the POCO F7 Ultra is just a re-branded Redmi K80 smartphone as per new reports, meaning the tipster’s post may not be concerning these two devices. On the other hand, the Red Magic 10 Ultra is the first ‘Ultra’ model of the Red Magic line-ups, and nothing about its launch is known yet, apart from key specs like improved battery backup(7000+ mAh), larger display screen(7″), and fast charging support(100W).
About the Mate 70 series, the upcoming flagship series is said to come equipped with the brand’s own Kirin 9100 processor, and may also feature an upgraded AI sensing chip. Considering that the previous Mate 60 series devices were released in the months of August 2023 and September 2023, the Mate 70 series debut is soon expected to take place.
