Suzuki Unveils its e Vitara as the Brand’s First Global BEV: Production Unit Based on the eVX Concept
Suzuki Motor Corporation has now globally unveiled its latest e Vitara battery electric vehicle(BEV) based on the eVX concept that was showcased by the brand in 2023. The Suzuki e Vitara features an SUV design with a bold and muscular design.

Suzuki e Vitara BEV – Design, Performance, and Other Features
The latest Suzuki e Vitara has been designed to align with the ‘Emotional Versatile Cruiser’ concept, equips the Heartech-e dedicated battery platform and Allgrip-e electric all-wheel drive system, and uses an eAxle powertrain that efficiently combines the motor and inverter functions. It will be available as 2WD and 4WD variants, along with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, combining to offer three states of tuning:
- 2WD 49 kWH model with 142 HP and 189 Nm torque
- 2WD 61 kWH model with 172 HP and 189 Nm torque
- 4WD 61 kWh model with 181 HP and 300 Nm torque
Speaking of its design, it has a proper SUV look and has black cladding all over to bring a rugged and sporty finish. Sharp and upright front fascia, sleek single-pod headlights with integrated LED DRLs, connected LED tail-light with Black insert, flat roof profile, shark-fin antenna, C-pillar mounted door handles, and charging port on the front fender are further exterior design elements.
Coming to the interior, a panoramic display with instrument cluster and infotainment system, two-tone dashboard and upholstery, and a two-spoke flat-top and flat-bottom steering wheel are notable design specs. It is a 5-seater.
Dimension-wise, it will be 4275mm long, 1800mm wide, and 1635mm high, with a wheelbase of 2700mm and ground clearance of 180mm. Regarding the wheel sizes, there will be 18″ and 19″ options, and it will have a 5.2 meters turning radius. Ventilated front and rear discs will also be present.
The Suzuki e Vitara is revealed to arrive next year in 2025, and it will be produced at the brand’s manufacturing plant in Gujarat, from where it will be exported to other global markets as well, including European and other Asian countries. In the Indian market, it will be competing with EV models such as the Tata Nexon EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV, MG ZS EV, and also with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Mahindra BE 6e.
