OnePlus, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, following its flagship 13 debut, is expected to unveil the Ace 5 sub-flagship smartphone soon in the brand’s home market, and later in the global market as OnePlus 13R, and we have come across a few reports concerning the device’s possible specifications and launch time frame in the past.
Now, a new update from tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed a few more expected key specifications of the OnePlus Ace 5/OnePlus 13R smartphone. Read about it below.
OnePlus Ace 5/OnePlus 13R – Tipped Key Specs
Firstly, it has been pointed out that the Ace 5 device would probably arrive re-branded as the 13R smartphone in global markets just like its predecessors. The previous Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is said to power the device, and up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage can be expected.
Furthermore, the tipster Digital Chat Station notes that the Ace 5/13R could also be featuring a 2D BOE X2 8T LTPO display screen with a size of 6.78″ and a 1.5K resolution. (His previous update suggested a micro curved display.) On the camera side, the device is likely to sport a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front-facing camera as per the tipster’s Weibo update.
In comparison to its predecessor, a larger battery backup of 6xxx mAh (previous update mentioned 6200± mAh typical battery) and the same 100W fast wired charging feature are also among the expected specs of the upcoming smartphone.
About its launch time frame, based on the tipster’s recent update on the upcoming flagship and sub-flagship devices launch, it was revealed that a lot of smartphones are being launched by different brands this month in November 2024, and the OnePlus Ace 5 is expected to launch in China either in November 2024 or December 2024. After the China debut, we can expect the device to launch re-branded as the OnePlus 13R in the global market along with the latest OnePlus 13 flagship.
