Upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra Smartphone Possible Camera Specifications Tipped by Chinese Tipster
Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, unveiled its flagship 15 series with the standard 15 and 15 Pro devices late last month, in October 2024. A third smartphone model is expected to join the series early next year and now, more camera specs of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 series device have been shared by a Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra – Tipped Camera Specs
This update comes from the tipster – Digital Chat Station, who has revealed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone would likely be featuring a 50MP IMX858 telephoto camera, with 70mm 3x zoom capability, f/1.8 aperture, 11.51mm physical focal length, and 1/2.51″ sensor size. A dual telephoto camera module will be present this time too, just like what other previous reports revealed, and it will support telephoto macro capability. A new photography kit has also been tipped, which will be providing a better photography experience to users.
Speaking more, earlier in the month of October 2024 itself, it was understood that the next Xiaomi 15 Ultra device would probably be sporting a quad camera system with new main camera, new telephoto camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. A recent update also pointed out that the four camera sensors are said to be a 50MP LYT900 (wide) main camera, 50MP S5KJN5 ultrawide camera, 50MP Sony IMX858 (3x) telephoto camera (as mentioned above), and a 200MP S5KHP9 (5x) periscope telephot0 camera. The schematic image, followed by the render images of the rear panel, were also shared in the recent past days. To add, plain leather, glass, and ceramic rear panel variants are also expected to be present.
As far as its launch is concerned, it is suggested to take place in January or February 2025, next year. [The previous Xiaomi 14 Ultra was released in February 2024.] Furthermore, the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra has been spotted on EEC and IMEI databases, and it is believed to break its cover in the Chinese, global, European, and Indian markets.
