More Details

  • No Gender Selection: WhatsApp does not allow users to select a gender for avatars, focusing instead on full customisation.
  • Photo Use and Privacy: Photos used for generating avatars will not be stored or used for any other purposes. WhatsApp begins deleting the photo as soon as the avatar creation process is completed.
  • Deleting Avatars: Users can delete their avatars anytime, but this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

The update is now available across Android and iOS devices, with the rollout continuing globally. Users are encouraged to explore the feature and customise their messaging experience.
