Meta-owned WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature allowing users to create personalised avatars directly within the app. Available for both Android and iOS users, this feature enables the creation of avatars either manually or by using a photo.
How to Create Avatars on WhatsApp
For Android Users:
- Manual Creation:
- Tap More options > Settings > Avatar.
- Select Create your Avatar > Get started > Create manually.
- Personalise your avatar’s appearance with available options.
- Tap Done to save your avatar.
- Photo-Based Creation:
- Tap More options > Settings > Avatar.
- Select Create your Avatar > Get started > Take photo.
- If prompted, allow camera access and position your face in the center of the frame.
- Tap the camera icon, choose a skin tone, and customise your avatar.
- Tap Done to save or make further edits.
Alternatively, avatars can also be created in a chat by tapping Emoji > Avatar.
