TECNO has introduced its latest budget smartphone, the POP 9, in the Indian market, following the September launch of its 5G variant. The new device brings several notable features to the budget segment, including a large 6.67-inch HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and the Dynamic Port notification feature.
Tecno Pop 9 4G Specs
The POP 9 marks a significant milestone as India’s first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Helio G50 processor. The device comes with 3GB of physical RAM, supplemented by an additional 3GB of virtual RAM through memory fusion technology. TECNO claims this configuration will deliver lag-free performance for over three years.
Notable features include stereo speakers with DTS audio support, IP54 dust and water resistance rating, and a 5000mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging, though the package includes a 10W charger. The camera setup consists of a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, both equipped with dual LED flash.
Running on Android 14 Go Edition with HiOS 14, TECNO promises two years of security updates. The device offers 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and comprehensive connectivity options including dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Pricing and Availability
The TECNO POP 9 will be available in three color options: Glittery White, Lime Green, and Startrail Black. Priced at Rs. 6,699, the phone will be available at an effective price of Rs. 6,499 with a Rs. 200 bank offer. Sales will begin on Amazon.in from November 26th.
