At the recently held Unlimit India event held in Chennai, India, Mahindra as announced has officially unveiled two of its latest EV models focusing on performance and luxury respectively. The newly-unveiled EVs will be hitting market in January 2025.

BE 6e and XEV 9e – Officially Unveiled
The BE 6e and XEV 9e EV models from Mahindra are built on the brand’s in-house INGLO platform, and feature a futuristic design language. While the BE 6e model comes with a more sculpted, modern, and aggressive design with minimalist front, integrated L-shaped DRLs, and sharp contours, the XEV 9e offers a sleek and aerodynamic SUV coupe design with sloping roof-line, triangular headlamp, and full-width light bar.
Length-wise, the two measure 4,371 mm and 4,789 mm respectively. To add, the BE 6e has a boot space of 455 liters and a front trunk of 45 liters, whereas the XEV 9e brings 663 liters boot space and 150 liters front trunk.
Speaking of its performance and battery range, both the BE 6e and XEV 9e models equip 59 kWh and 79 kWh LFP battery options, capable of offering a real-world range of over 500 km. Ultra fast charge support is also present, enabling users to charge the EVs from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes with the help of a 175 kW DC charger. Performance-wise, the BE 6e and XEV 9e both have top power and torque of 288 bhp and 380 Nm. In terms of acceleration, 0 – 100 km can be attained in 6.7 seconds on both the EVs.
About the other features, immersive audio 16 Harmon Kardon speakers, 7 airbags, digital cockpit (three 12.3″ high resolution display for XEV 9e), auto park, level 2+ ADAS, and Ride VisionX are some of the key features revealed. Moreover, the BE 6e model has been teased with the tagline – ‘Unlimit Performance’, whereas the XEV 9e model is teased with the tagline – ‘Unlimit Luxury’.
Regarding the price and availability, the BE 6e and XEV 9e are priced at INR 18.90 lakh and INR 21.90 lakh respective starting prices. Both these EVs are said to hit the market in the month of January 2025, and in February 2025, the deliveries are believed to be commenced.
