OnePlus Officially Launches Project Starlight To Strengthen Product And Service Offerings In India

The smartphone brand OnePlus has been making initiatives to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. Today, the company has announced its Project Starlight under which the brand will be investing Rs 6,000 crores until 2027.

This project aims to strengthen product and service offerings for Indian users. The primary focus of this project is durability reliability, service capabilities, and tailor-made features. As per a statement by OnePlus India CEO Robin Liu, “We are launching Project Starlight specifically in India because India is one of our largest strategy priorities.”

Project Starlight: Three Key Components

For durability and reliability, there are two major advancements in display technology, The World’s first DisplayMate A++ display will be used in the upcoming flagship OnePlus device for superior clarity, brightness, and vibrant colors even in direct sunlight. Another technology is the green Line Worry-Free solution, which is said to address the much-known green line issue that is often seen in AMOLED displays.

For service capabilities, the company has already increased its service centers by 22% while it plans to expand the service centers by 50% by mid-2026. New online services include hotline support, Whatsapp assistance, and live chat options while technical staff training will also be enhanced. The company is also said to upgrade half of its flagship stores and enhance third-party store capabilities.

For Indian users, it is said that the upcoming OnePlus 13 series will arrive with 5.5 connectivity (an enhanced variant of 5) in India with speed improvement. A new feature called Steady Connect will also be introduced that will enable users to stay connected with Bluetooth at distances of up to 360m in places like gyms. The company has also tested a new networking algorithm in the Yellow line of the Delhi Metro, reducing signal interference and boosting networking performance.
