TVS Officially Unveils New 300cc Engine Called RT-XD4; Delivers A Better Overall Performance With Advanced Architecture

TVS has unveiled its all new 300cc engine at the ongoing MotoSoul 2024 event. This engine is called RT-XD4 and it is said that this engine could deliver a better overall performance when compared to the existing 312.12cc engine.

TVS RT-XD4 Engine: Features

This new engine delivers 35.45 PS power and 28.5Nm torque. While the bore of the engine is 78mm and stroke is 62.6mm. It gets a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch and has improved cooling with liquid cooling for the head and air-cooling for the crank cases. RT-XD4 is built on an entirely new platform, includes a dual overhead camshaft integrated with down draft port and a dual oil pump featuring a split chamber crankcase.

It is equipped with a dual breather system and a dual cooling jacket cylinder head with a water jacket has been used. It has highly linear torque characteristics and it is said that the new RT-XD4 engine could deliver a better overall performance with its advanced architecture when compared to existing 312.12cc engine.

TVS has yet not announced when this new engine will reach the stage of commercial production but reports suggests that the upcoming TVS Apache RTX could be the first bike to get this all new engine. This bike is said to have reached the final stage and could launch around mid-2025.
