OnePlus Upcoming Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro Models Specification Differences and Similarities Suggested by Chinese Tipster

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, OnePlus, is believed to unveil its latest Ace 5 series sub-flagships this week in its home market and we have already spotted the upcoming devices on certain certification and benchmark listings. Tipster Digital Chat Station via a new Weibo update has pointed out the differences and similarities in specifications of the two Ace 5 series smartphones.

OnePlus Ace 5 Series Models – Spec Differences and Similarities

As per this update from Digital Chat Station, it is said that the upcoming Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro devices would show differences in terms of the processor used, battery equipped, and the wired fast charge support, while the display screen, design, camera, and size would probably be the same or similar.

He notes that the standard Ace 5 model would come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor onboard, and may be packing a 6415 mAh battery with 80W fast charge support. On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro smartphone is pointed out to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and pack a lower 6100 mAh battery with a faster 100W wired charging feature.

Moreover, the SKUs (stock keeping units) are the same, with 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB storage options for the two (no 24GB RAM model this time). To add, the thickness and weight control are also noted to be good, and the ceramic model of the Ace 5 Pro is lighter than what was expected.

 

In related news, OnePlus recently conducted a gaming conference in China and the brand unveiled its latest chip-level gaming technology – the Fengchi Game Core. It will be present both on the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro sub-flagships and will offer super frame rate and super display resolution with no delay for a longer time.

Speaking more, the pre-reservation for the Ace 5 series has already begun in China, and the Ace 5 Pro device has received the 3C certification. The test performance results of the Ace 5 Pro model were also shared recently, whereas the Ace 5 was spotted on Geekbench as well. The real life and render images of the Ace 5 model have also been shared, revealing the design language of the soon-to-be-launched smartphones.
