Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro Smartphone Tipped as First Snapdragon 8s Elite Device; Key Features and Pricing Shared
It was previously understood that Xiaomi would be the first to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chip and now, a Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform has pointed out the device. Along with it, a few key features and pricing of this device have also been shared.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro – Tipped as First Snapdragon 8s Elite Device
This update comes from tipster Smart Pikachu who has mentioned in his latest Weibo post that the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro would possibly be the first Snapdragon 8s Elite-powered smartphone. Apart from the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip, the device is also revealed to have a metal frame, a glass body, round camera module on the upper-left corner, portrait telephoto lens, and front bionic dual camera unit. Moreover, the tipster adds that the Leica imaging system and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner would be present on it as well. It may also be having a price tag of CNY 3K too as per the tipster.
Smart Pikachu himself had previously informed that this time too Xiaomi will be the first to feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip on a smartphone device, whereas his follow-up update suggested that the brand’s Civi 5 series would possibly have a beautiful form factor design, interesting color choices, improved front-facing camera system, and better performance levels.
Apart from the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, Honor 400 Pro, and iQOO Z10 Turbo devices are also reportedly going to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Elite chip. The launch of Qualcomm’s new chip is said to take place in Q1 2025, and new devices powered by this chip are believed to arrive around April 2025. Smartphones with 7000± battery backup are also coming.
