Samsung Galaxy S23 Users Facing Green Line Issue Following November/December 2024 Security Patch Update
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 users in India are facing a serious green line display issue following the recent November/December 2024 security patch update. While the brand is offering free screen replacement for such issues until the end of December 2024, Galaxy S23 users are being denied it. As a hack, a Reddit user has proposed a solution and it seems to work.

Samsung Galaxy S23 – Green Line Issue with November/December 2024 Security Patch Update?
As per what is being reported by Galaxy S23 Indian users on Samsung’s community page and other social media platforms, it is following the November/December 2024 security patch update that the screen line issue has arrived and no kind of physical damage has happened to their respective devices. Even so, Galaxy S23 users in India are denied free screen replacement pointing out that this is not a common problem for the Galaxy smartphone model. However, already many have started complaining and posting how they are facing this issue even after taking good care of the device.
Do note that Samsung is currently having its One Time Free Screen Replacement for certain models until the end of this month, till 31st December 2024. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S23 is not among the eligible list of devices.
There is a hack proposed by a Reddit user, which seems to have worked for a Galaxy S23 user who faced the green line issue post the November 2024 security patch update. After enabling the Developer Mode, visit it and disable both ‘HW overlays’ and ‘Simulate color space’. Then reboot the device and the change can be found. While this hack wouldn’t solve the problem immediately, it does work as reported by the Galaxy S23 user.
