Samsung to Launch Two More Additional Size Variants for its Galaxy Ring; Spotted on WPC Database

The South Korean consumer electronics maker, Samsung, unveiled its Galaxy Ring back in July 2024 and two months back in October 2024, it was also made available to Indian customers as well. This new product from the brand was introduced in nine different sizes and now, it has been reported that two more larger additional size variants will be released. These two size variants have also been spotted on the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) certification platform too.

As mentioned, Samsung has nine different size variants for the Galaxy Ring as of now, which goes from size ‘5’ model to size ’13’ model. Based on what has been revealed, size ’14’ and size ’15’ larger additional size variants are coming. Both these bear model numbers of  ‘SM-Q514’ and ‘SM-Q515’, and have been certified by the WPC authority with QI ID of ‘23012’ and ‘23013’, respectively. The version number for the two has been mentioned as ‘2.0.o’.

Additionally, the render images listed on the certification database reveals the same exact charging box design with a transparent body and the Galaxy Ring placed inside it, featured in what seems to be the ‘Titanium Black’ color. [Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold are the other color choices currently available.]

Furthermore, tipster @MaxJmb has also revealed certain details concerning the dimension, weight, and the launch time frame of the upcoming Galaxy Ring size variants. He notes that both the size ’14’ and size ’15’ models are believed to weigh 3.2 gm in weight, and likely have inner diameters of 23 mm and 23.8 mm, respectively. The new size variants are said to be made available in January 2025, next month.

Samsung Galaxy Ring – Specifications

Since Samsung has already unveiled its Galaxy Ring device, the specifications and features are already known. Notably, the device features a titanium grade 5 body, is IP68-rated water and sweat resistant, has a 5 ATM waterproof durability, supports Bluetooth 5.4, and is compatible with smartphones running on Android 11.0 or higher with at the least 1.5 GB internal space.

Health reports via Galaxy AI features, and sleep information (sleep scores, sleep metrics, & snoring analysis) via Sleep AI algorithm are also key features. Menstrual cycle tracking, heart rate alert, photos capture capability, dismiss alarms, and Find My Ring support are more features. PPG sensor, accelerometer, and temperature sensor are also present.

A battery life of up to five days can be expected, with 18 mAh/23.5 mAh battery within the Galaxy Ring, and an additional 361 mAh battery within the charging box, along with an LED light indicator.
